EGL Workshop Objectives
|
|
|
|
The Objectives of the EGL workshop are based on
research into which skills are required to perform effectively as
a leader, manager, project controller, salesman, trainer, consultant,
what-have-you. The skills which appear to be a requirement of almost
any profession that involves contact with people are:
|
|
|
|
Self-confidence based on an awareness of
- personal values,
- strengths and weaknesses,
- the effect one has on others,
- the effect of others on oneself,
The ability to:
- inspire and maintain trust,
- give and receive feedback,
- manage conflict situations particularly when personally involved,
- lead others both individually and in groups,
- identify, prioritise and solve problems,
- plan for and implement change,
- participate effectively in groups
|
|
|
In the present environment of continuous, rapid, large-scale change,
to achieve results, managers must rely, less than ever, on their
authority alone. Our research shows that high achievers use consultancy
skills as the new leadership model. All professional and managerial
roles require the use of influencing skills and techniques.
EGL is the foundation of our accredited consultant development
programmes.
